I have had such an amazing weekend it was only fair that I shared that with you guys.
But before I get to that, this week has been a really tough and stressful time for me. Both professionally and personally.
Blogging had taken a toll on me. I have suddenly hit an all time lower traffic than usual and that led me to feeling a bit depressed and frustrated.
Despite efforts to remedy the situation, it still didn’t improve. So I asked some other Bloggers for advice on how they cope during down time. The best response I got was to take a break and that is exactly what I did.
How it started
I had met a guy named Jon at one of our functions held earlier in the week who was in Panama attending a Conference. He invited me to that but unfortunately I was unable to go as I had to work. So he asked me to hang out on Friday night after work, as it was going to be his last night in Panama before heading back to New York.
All members who were part of the Conference were there as well. It was going to be their last night out before everyone headed back to their various countries next week.
The majority of them were Canadians, some Panamanians, Americans, Colombians and Mexicans. I also met one or two persons from Israel and Lebanon. I was the only Trinidadian in the crowd and it didn’t matter!
So not only did I use this opportunity as a means to get out of the house but also to interact and network with a bunch of different people. In reality we were literally a group of strangers hanging out at Tantalo Roofbar in Casco Viejo which by the way has an amazing view of the city.
My choice of drink for the night was Mojito. A mojito is a Cuban cocktail which is made of white rum, mint, lime juice, sparkling or soda water and sugar or honey. I had about 6 of them before deciding I had enough for the night.
I had gotten invited at the home of a former work colleague’s going away party, where I spent about 4 hours before we all headed to Casco Viejo to end the night at a Club.
On both days I partied until the 3:30 the next morning. Luckily for Uber transportation is never an issue.
Can’t remember when last I partied this hard but damn I had a good time!
While I did not have a great week I surely made up for it on the weekend and I am so happy about that. I look forward to a better week ahead.
How was your week? What did you do on the weekend?
